Grounding Practices: Why Earthing Matters for Your Health

Electrons from earth as antioxidants, Schumann resonance, why disconnection happens, barefoot walking, Himalayan salt, practical grounding methods.

Grounding, or earthing, is the practice of direct contact with the Earth's surface to receive its electrons, which function as powerful antioxidants. The Earth resonates at 7.83 Hz, the Schumann frequency, which is the same frequency as a healthy human nervous system. When we are grounded, our body synchronizes with this frequency. When we are disconnected — wearing synthetic-soled shoes, spending time on upper floors, working on computers — we lose this connection. The result is inflammation, dysregulation, and chronic illness. Practical grounding methods include barefoot walking, beach time, lying on grass, Himalayan salt lamps (negative ions), and grounding mats. Even 15 minutes of daily grounding can measurably improve blood viscosity, reduce inflammation, and regulate the nervous system.
